Anti-Vibration Mountings

Engine Isolation

Vibration Dampening Systems

Protect your generator from structural damage and drastically reduce loud shaking with genuine anti-vibration mounts (AV mounts) from The Generator King. These premium rubber mounts sit under the engine frame to absorb heavy movement, preventing harsh shaking from damaging your fuel tank, canopy and internal parts.

We carry a large local stock of reliable, weight-rated rubber mounts. Because different generator models vary in weight, we stock mounts in multiple sizes and load capacities to match your engine setup, all available for counter collection or fast delivery.

About out Mountings

Mounts Built to Last

Our anti-vibration mounts are built to handle the constant vibration and harsh conditions of generator operations. Featuring high-grade rubber bonded directly to steel plates, these mounts flex dynamically to absorb heavy engine movement and keep your generator stable. Our premium mounts deliver lasting reliability you can depend on.

Sourcing authentic products guarantees that your new mounts fit your frame perfectly and keep your engine properly aligned without sagging over time. We carry a full range of reliable structural dampening hardware alongside digital controllers, automatic transfer switches, and maintenance spares to keep your system fully integrated.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What are the primary indicators that a generator anti-vibration mount has failed?

A broken or degraded AV mount usually reveals itself through a sudden, dramatic increase in structural noise and rattling throughout the generator enclosure, a visible tilting of the engine block toward one side, or visible tearing and splitting along the black rubber core. If the rubber separates completely from its metal plates, the engine frame will strike the base rails during startup.

Why can I not use a standard, unrated industrial rubber block to support my generator?

Generator sets require exact weight-calibrated isolation. If the rubber is too hard for the weight of the engine and alternator, it will fail to damp any frequencies, transferring all vibration straight to the base frame. If the rubber is too soft, the heavy weight will compress it completely, destroying its elasticity and causing rapid alignment failures.

How does oil or diesel fuel leakage affect the lifespan of a rubber AV mount?

Standard low-grade rubber compounds are highly susceptible to petroleum contamination. When engine oil or diesel fuel drips onto an unprotected alternative copy mount, the rubber absorbs the fluid, causing it to swell up, turn spongy, and lose its structural strength. Sourcing authentic factory mounts ensures high resistance to oil splash degradation.

Should all anti-vibration mountings be replaced at the same time if only one is torn?

Yes, you must always replace the complete set of engine or alternator mountings simultaneously. If you install a single new mount alongside older, partially collapsed mounts, the new rubber block will sit higher and carry an unequal share of the machinery weight, causing it to fail rapidly due to excessive structural load.
